Happy #FatTuesday, y’all!! I had a long day and was pretty worn out, but today was also men’s prayer and I wanted to send something special with Superman. Something I’d never attempted before. When I first moved to Washington state, temperatures like this got me excited. Chilly weather meant a chance for snow. On March 1, it’s not so exciting. I’ll be starting my seeds this weekend and I’m ready for warmer weather. Y’all, I “thought” I was tough, but this experience has kicked my butt-tootie. Recovery has been rough, much rougher and longer than I expected. Pain, healing issues, family issues (not Mr. Misty, he really is a superhero!) exhaustion, overwhelming sadness and grief and just a heaviness of my soul... Anyway.... I saw my surgeon, Friday, for my third post op appointment and I was hopeful it was turning point because my drains came out! 😃 The picture is of my drain holder as we tossed it before we left the the office lol! It feels so liberating not to be tied to those drains. I had really hoped I could finally transition from the recliner to our bed. Yeah, three weeks in the recliner - I don’t recommend it - but after two days in the bed, I was back in the recliner. I need to heal a bit more. Everything exhausts me. Take a shower. I have to rest. Go to town. I am asleep for a couple of hours. Change in... anything and I’m prone to dissolve in tears. And forget about watching, “This is Us” on NBC! Sob fest! 😭. We love you all and are so thankful to have you in our lives!
